HEIC to JPG: a simple photo sharing checklist
Make iPhone photos easier to share while keeping the originals safe.

Keep your original photos
A JPG is useful when the recipient cannot open a HEIC file. Treat the conversion as a sharing copy, rather than a replacement for your original photo. Keep your original in your usual photo library or backup.
The 0UB converter re-encodes the image in your browser. Original metadata is not preserved in the exported copy. Multi-image HEIC containers are converted to a single still image.
Start with a small batch
Choose one or two HEIC files first. Set quality to 90%, convert them, and open the downloaded JPGs. Look at color, orientation and fine details before converting the rest.
You can select up to 50 files, with a 20 MB limit per file. A phone with limited memory may need smaller batches. If a file cannot be decoded, the tool reports the failure and continues with the other files.
Choose quality for the destination
For a casual email or web upload, try a lower quality setting if the JPG is too large. For a detailed photograph, keep quality higher and compare a small crop at normal viewing size. A particular quality setting does not guarantee a particular file size.
Download files individually or collect successful results into a ZIP. Confirm that the recipient can open one of the JPGs before deleting any working copies.
